Basecamp is the hub of all activity.

Participants & Spectators are welcome to join us at Basecamp for the whole weekend.
All our food options, sponsors, retail outlets, live music and family activities will be based here.

Please note there is no parking onsite.
Free event parking will be available over the road in Station Yard.
BASECAMP
On Site Camping
​
Make a weekend of it and stay on site, not far to take those tired legs after your race.
Basecamp is set at Pennine View Park, a modern, family friendly campsite, with newly refurbished bathrooms, campers kitchen and small playground.
There are plenty of hardstanding pitches with EHU to accommodate camper vans, motorhomes and caravans. There is also a large camping field which can accommodate some EHU tents and plenty of off grid tents.
In conjunction with the YOMP MOUNTAIN CHALLENGE the park is offering a 10% discount on any EHU pitch for anyone taking part in any of the races.
Basic camping (no EHU) can be booked at £12.50pppn.

Kirkby Stephen Hostel
​
Kirkby Stephen Hostel is a great alternative to camping and is only a short walk away from Basecamp.
The hostel sleeps up to 39 people and has a variety of different room sizes.

Hotels, B&Bs, Self Catering
Kirkby Stephen has a host of options if you want a little more.
There are some gorgeous B&Bs, pubs with rooms and lots of self catering cottages.

FRIDAY - GARY ATKINSON
Gary will be playing a great acoustic set from 8pm to welcome home the Sunset Strollers.

SATURDAY - STRIDING EDGE
A brilliant band treating us to live music throughout the afternoon to welcome back the Yompers.
Followed by a lively set in the evening as the sun sets (timings are fairly fluid!) but we will be aiming for 5pm and 7.30pm

SUNDAY - KEV KENDAL
Kev Kendal is treating us to an afternoon of acoustic tunes to create a fab family atmosphere following the 5k Yomp at 1pm (ish).

FOOD & DRINK
FIREBOX
The firebox kitchen will be serving hot food all day and into the evening with The Flatbread Trailer and Str_eat Fresh serving up their delights.

THE ENGINE SHED
The Engine Shed bar will be open from 11am both days serving soft drinks, beers and all other drinks to quench your thirst.

COFFEE CAN
The Coffee Can will be on site serving barista coffees, teas and cakes all day Saturday.
​
FOOTBALL CAKES
Kirkby Stephen Football Club will be on site on Saturday with a whole host of yummy cakes and biscuits to buy, supporting the club in their fundraising efforts.
SCOUTS STAND
The local scout group will be serving Tea, Coffee and cake during the day on Sunday to support the event and raise some funds
